Japan seems to have no push towards gay marriage, yet divorce rates there are on the rise.

But wait, there's more! Divorce IS on the rise in Italy.

So much for that argument. I await Maggie's retraction. Well, I would if she actually addressed Jari's comments instead of turning to some sort of distraction about the panic over birth rates, which have nothing to do with the issue, insofar as the birth rate of unmarried mothers isn't even mentioned.
