FROM HERE TO MATERNITY: Mary Garth replies to Phillip Longman

...Mainly, I want to focus on what is entirely missing from Longman's analysis: the fact that even if they have fallen, fertility rates are still higher among Hispanics, and that the U.S. does not now nor ever has relied solely on fertility for its population growth--Longman completely ignores immigration (not to mention internal migration between states).
