The Form of Debate/Maggie Gallagher
Cristina and Jenny welcome to you both. I've put no restrictions on your debate giving you free access to this site, without any editing from me. But it certainly makes a sharper debate if you debate each other, rather than a generalized opponent. Statements that take the form "professional prolifers or prochoicers believe X " are hard to prove and tend to lead the debate sideways. I also feel obliged on behalf of Feminists for LIfe and others to say that many prolifers, professional and amateur, do not oppose either contraception or child care. But I look forward to hearing more from Jennifer and Cristina on what they think about the question of the social costs and benefits of contraception. |
