UK Embryo Authority Warns Warns IVF Children Have 30% Higher Risk of Genetic Abnormality: LifeSite News
reports: The British government's embryo research authority has warned potential parents that children conceived artificially through in vitro fertilization have a thirty percent higher risk of genetic abnormalities. more HFEA's statement: ...The risk of birth defects in the general population is low. Two per cent of children in Europe are born with birth defects. Some research suggests there might be an increased risk of 30 percent for babies born as a result of ART. This would mean that the risk rises to 2.6 percent, which is still low.
